hood+windsheild=not a good day

so.... i was leaving my house this mourning and some how forgot to put my hood pins in before i left. (i was in a hurry so no flaming haha) and i was on 55 heading to the junkyard to get some lill nick nacks for the teg and all of a suden BAM!!! hood flys up, smashes the window dents my roof. no good! so in a panic i stuck my head out of the window like a damn prairie dogs in the middle of the highway at 70 mph looking like ace ventura trying to see where trafic was in an effort to pull on to the shoulder. and here is the after math

so has this ever happened to anyone else in one way or another or am i the only dumb ass on here lmfao

Had it happen to exnissanguy and I about 9 years ago I think.

It surprisingly didn't break the windshield....but did bend over and smash the sunroof. Shattering the glass pretty much on our face.

That is shitty.

Have not had that happen thankfully but was close in a truck once but by some stroke of lunch the hood strut stopped it from over extending and doing it damage... hood latch bolts had worked themselves loose. Was odd but fortunate not to damage anything.

Happened in my exploder, but hood shocks stopped it. You could have used you side, and rear view mirror just for future thought. Good to hear you got stopped safely.

update old window out cleaned and ready for new install oh and pulled the front bumper to get rid of the ricer headlights "about god damn time!"
