Flywheel resurfacing

Post by g3integragsr »

Im swapping transmissions in my car on monday and I have a lightweight flywheel im putting in with it. My problem is that no shops are open until tuesday to get it resurfaced, so what can I do to maybe clean it up myself? It doesnt have any surface rust on it, I didn't feel it slip at all when I drove the car but I want to be on the safe side and maybe clean it up a bit. Can I just use some 1,000 grit sandpaper and lightly sand down the face of it?

I called O'riellys and they said they don't do it. Anyone else have an input on this?

Call up most any repair shop, they will do it or have someone that does it for them.
