problems with my 89 accord coupe

Im having acouple problems as you read ....

1.rpms go up and down when in park after starting up
2. I smell a burning smell after driving for awhile
3. when going from park to drive and all other gerars the car chages hard

EDIT: o yeah and i need a driverside(left) fender in any one can help out with that too.

Sounds like you have the normal idle surge on hondas its the IAC valve or something like that.

soundqjr is correct. Check the IAC valve and clean it out and make sure the piece on the inside isn't rattling around. If it is, just take it apart and screw the piece back in. Its a real easy fix.

a burning smell isnt very specific if gas burns it catches on fire so you can rule that one out. does your car smoke? is there any wetspots around the motor if so where at?

i have seen smoke like twice, it comes from somewhere towards to the firewall ... yea i know gas was out just put that up there ... i havent seen any wetspots in the engine bay ... and for a couple days i put cardboard under my car and it did show any signs of dripage.
