[/IMG]I parked where this pic was taken (notice how long the driveway is)....so abouts 1 we show up, park, talk to a few folkers, then head to the party in the basement......abouts 15 minutes later a fine lady comes downstairs and says that a white car just hit a tree.....I was dumbfounded because at the time there were only two white cars....guess who's......then some random person shouted back and asked if it was the white one with red wheels.....answer....NO!!! My reaction.....FUCK! So I book it outside to see my car way the flippen hell down the driveway at an angle with a bunch of peoples standing around it. So I was like...wtf mate? and headed down to the scene of excitement....upon walking to the big crowd I passed this.......
[/IMG] then I was like well this is gonna suck.....so I see this......
[/IMG](at the time the lights werent on) then everyone is like...who's car is this...and Im like OOOOhhhh....its mine.
As Im walking to the side of my car that hit the tree, somebody was said that it just started rolling....slow at first...then jumped this.......
[/IMG]hit this.......
[/IMG]ricochede (sp?) off the tree and started rolling down the hill again. It however miracously stopped itself right in the middle of the driveway...right before hitting an electrical box.
So I walk around my car with my tele as my only light and see this.......
[/IMG] ....and this....
[/IMG]and....
[/IMG]So then I was mad but happy at the same time because I was really expecting a whole lot worse....Luckily nobody was behind it or walking up the driveway at the time. Here are a couple morning shots with some light.......
[/IMG]
[/IMG]
[/IMG]and just for another reference, where my car ended up at...(it was right next to the garage door)..
[/IMG]Now...someone please explain to me how a parking brake, properly adjusted can let go...allow the car to roll down hill...jump a curb, hit a tree then just flat stop in the middle of the driveway?
And for the record I do not park my car in gear because I have a remote starter on it....and no I did not hit the button to cause the car to do this, it just happened. So Im just thankful nobody got hurt, and Im just going to let the insurance company fix this one, I don't feel like doing anymore bodywork for a while.
