i use pro plan i get it at petco or petsmart, just make sure when or if you switch your dogs food to do it a little at a time. mix a little of the new food with the old until all you have is the new food otherwise your dogs gonna start puking all over the place. unless you had the bad food then i guess that wouldnt work...

I use Nutro for my rotty. Its an "affordable" all natural food. Your supposed to look at the first 3 or 4 ingredients listed, and make sure they are real ingredients. Make sure its not some artificial shit listed or what not. I liked what I read on Nutro, and was also recommended by a breeder. I know there's better, but I didn't want to pay anymore than $30 for a 40 lb. bag.

thanks guys for the comments. i went to lola and penelopes in Clayton today and talked to them about what food to buy. That place is nuts. Its nicer than most places i shop. A++ customer service though. anyways, they gave me some free samples of food to try. she seemed to recommend California Natural and Merrick. I have seen good stuff about Nutro too. For now I'm going to try this California Natural, since my dog ate it up today. We'll see how that goes. Its gotta be better than the Alpo crap she was eating. It's kinda high on the price, but she is only like 10lbs so she doesn't eat that much anyways. besides, hopefully this will cut down on future health problems/medical bills and crap. i'd recommend the sites that i had in my first post if you are concerned w/ your dog's food. Also this site is pretty cool http://www.naturapet.com/display.php?d=home-tab you can compare foods and stuff.

that's good. i've never heard of that place. it's pretty rediculou that there was rat poison in the dog food that was recalled.
