dog people help me out...

Ever since this recall w/ all the dog food i've been doing research about what types of food to feed my dog. Being totally uneducated, i've been feeding my dog Alpo and Kibbles n Bits, which apparently sucks balls, so I need to switch it up. What do you guys feed your dogs? And who did you talk to to figure out the best formula? I didn't realize it was this complicated till I started doing research. The thing that sucks is the vet recommended Iams not too long ago...and go figure, its one of the brands being recalled! You guys gotta help me out here.

Our vet says science diet is pretty good stuff.

i've read some good stuff about that. where do you buy stuff like that? seems like all the grocery store food is crap. any other suggestions?

ahhh, see some sites say good stuff about it, but then i come across reviews like this: http://www.rateitall.com/i-24987-science-diet.aspx and it messes things up again. who can you trust? frustrating...
