Whats you price range. Custom pieced together can be as good as an aftermarket one. Depends on the welder assembling it and how much effort they want to put into making it right. On the other hand, aftermarket ones now are pretty cheap for a decent brand.

I was thinking going with the A'pexi world sport, but wasn't sure if it would hold up to boost when I boost it later? Didn't want to go with a loud exhaust system on this one, goin JDM.andyjt;94526 wrote:Whats you price range. Custom pieced together can be as good as an aftermarket one. like the genral concensous has been if the aftermarket fits your price range and if its quality work then jump on it.justme5424;94523 wrote:Need a personal oppion on which is best? Looking to put togher a new exhaust system for my prelude? thanks in advanced guys.
i personally like my custom setup 2.25 piping with a passwordjdm test pipe and n1 muffler
but if you choose custom research the work of the shop youre thinking of so you know youre getting quality work. and its usually fairly reasonable in price range.

A little helpful info from Evans Tuning...
Evans Tuning wrote:All turbo cars should run a minimum of 3” downpipe, test pipe, and exhaust. Those looking to pass visual inspection should run a gutted 3” hi-flow cat.
All motor and supercharged b and d-series motors can run a 2.5” exhaust. A 3” exhaust is not necessary, but will not hurt power if it is used. All motor, supercharged, and nitrous k and h-series motors should use 3” exhausts.
We do not recommend catalytic converters on any turbocharged car. If you must run a cat to pass visual inspection, we highly recommend gutting the cat and essentially running a test pipe. If you come to a tuning appointment with a cat on the car and not hollowed and we suspect that it is creating a power loss, we can gut it for you, but it will not be done for free.
