If you think your car suffers from understeer (I assume that is your complaint because that is EVERY honda racer's complaint), stiffen the rear more... higher spring rates in the rear and stiff dampers in the rear would also help.

I have read things like that, and I know there are guys that prefer nothing, or very little upfront. I guess I was only comparing the 'big' bar options. No sense in someone forking out $200 for a front swaybar when they can get one for $20 at the junkyard... there is also a writeup I read about someone using a 24mm(?) bar from a first gen integra on their EF.

I'm personally not going to run without a bar in front... but my cars aren't autox cars either. The last month or so, I ran my hatch with just a DA bar in front and nothing on the back and honestly, the car felt really good. It felt much smoother around the offramps (this is a daily driver after all, but I take them pretty hard) than the car did with the stock front bar and the 22mm rear. The car seemed to hold its line much more easily than the original set up. Thats why I want to run the DA bar with the 22 in back. I know that I might run into issues with some one tire fire since Im still running an open diff, but I don't usually do a whole lot of really hard acceleration out of turns and since I dont race the car, I think it will work great for my application.

The big-in-back, small-in-front setup will help with quick directional changes, transitions (throwing the car into a sharp corner, slalom, etc) and hard, sharp cornering (hairpin)... basically, the type of stuff you'd see on an auto-x course. It absolutely helps promote off-throttle oversteer. You gotta be careful decelerating through a sharp corner, because the ass end can whip around on you. At higher speeds, it can definitely feel twitchy. I've never experienced having no front bar... I'm with you, I don't think I would want that setup on my daily either.

I bought a DA sway with endlinks from PnP and I think it was like $11. Good luck finding a GSR, though.

Spork, I'm going with a ST bar so you can have my rear DA bar (from a 2 door) if you want to experiment...

I have a 22 for the back, and I really love the way the car handled with it on, so I don't really want to change that... but I might be interested in swapping it out just so that I can feel the difference back to back.

yeah, they would be hard to find at a pick n pull, i found mine on a parts car. if you're interested, i believe we have a gsr front swaybar somewhere in jamey's garage, and i have an LS rear swaybar. the ls rear is 13mm.

ST 22mm set full stiff in back
stock Si in front (been looking for a dx to swap out)

tokico's set full hard in back and full soft in front.

i still seem to get the car to push but with some pedal management the rear end swings into place.
