I have read things like that, and I know there are guys that prefer nothing, or very little upfront. I guess I was only comparing the 'big' bar options. No sense in someone forking out $200 for a front swaybar when they can get one for $20 at the junkyard... there is also a writeup I read about someone using a 24mm(?) bar from a first gen integra on their EF.jpciii;116353 wrote:That isn't really true... past auto-x champs (who drove ef hatches) went with really big bars in the rear and really small (crx hf) bars in front, or no front bar at all up front. If you think your car suffers from understeer (I assume that is your complaint because that is EVERY honda racer's complaint), stiffen the rear more... higher spring rates in the rear and stiff dampers in the rear would also help.

I'm personally not going to run without a bar in front... but my cars aren't autox cars either. The last month or so, I ran my hatch with just a DA bar in front and nothing on the back and honestly, the car felt really good. It felt much smoother around the offramps (this is a daily driver after all, but I take them pretty hard) than the car did with the stock front bar and the 22mm rear. The car seemed to hold its line much more easily than the original set up. Thats why I want to run the DA bar with the 22 in back. I know that I might run into issues with some one tire fire since Im still running an open diff, but I don't usually do a whole lot of really hard acceleration out of turns and since I dont race the car, I think it will work great for my application.
