I have a h22a eg but the vtec seems to not be working. It's just a very mellow increase in rpm..no crossover what-so-ever. So first thing I did was check over the wiring and it seems to be correct with good connections. I worked my way down to the ecu and noticed it was a po6 ecu.. for a civic 1.5 non vtec...I assume this would be my problem correct?
The other thing is I popped the ecu open and it has a "demon" chip inside? No nothing about it, or if that should make the po6 acceptable. If anyone heard of this ecu working for a h22a then I suppose i'll look into it being the sillinoid?
Someone please help or atleast give your opinion.
Thanks

A P06 can be converted to a p28 and run a h22 with vtec with no issues. A couple people on here could burn you a acceptable base map. If you are still having issues with the ecu after that hook a volt meter up to the ecu pin and have a friend watch while driving.

Not a good idea..The swap was done very well. Looks good, no hoopty wires every where, and seems to be wired correct. So im not even sure the guy I bought it from did the swap like he said. My reason for saying this is because when i texted him "why cant i hear crossover"? His reply was "you cant hear crossover with aftermarket exhaust"....Soooo, that was the end of asking him.Phate;262738 wrote:Who did the swap? You should talk to them.

I will have access to a p13 tomorrow. If I throw that ecu in and I have vtec does that mean the po6 was chipped wrong or something? sorry for lack of knowledge.Waffles;262737 wrote:A P06 can be converted to a p28 and run a h22 with vtec with no issues.
