ECU upgrade??

I have the P30 in it now with the B16A. What would be the best ECU to get the most out of the motor?

Not stock. People can de solder a chip on the circuit board inside the ecu, add a socket and a eprom chip, and with certain programs you can do your own tuning. Welcome back to the 90's. :)

So, is it true that the JDM motors will run rich over here because the ecu is programed for Japans higher altitude?

first time hearing that

it might be true. this makes a little sense. all of the jdm bin's did run a little on the rich side as we found out. i still dont know. :dunno:

just a thought, higher altitude means denser air. in turn would be the need for more fuel to mix with the denser air. then causing it to run rich in the US.

what do you guys think?

well if there higher altitude the air would be thiner = less fuel ie leaner in us
