p28 vs p72 with s200

Post by IshbOO »

Hello,

I was wondering about getting hondata, with the s200 being discontinued, and not wanting to pay the hefty price for s300, was going to buy used.

I know the p28 doesnt look for the KS, or the IAB. Which in my case, would be good, I just got a Skunk2 IM (deleteing IAB).

Other than that I cant seem to find a real difference in the ECUs once hondata is in them and they are tuned.

Anyone have any suggestions? Which ecu should I have tuned?

Any input would help, I'm pretty newb when it comes to hondata, but have been reading up on it alot. I also found a p28 with the chip already installed from a friend. SO I was askin about it. Thanks

It's Crome, not Chrome.

The knock sensor and IAB control are really the only difference. Once you have the IAB tuned out for the S2, then there really isn't much difference. What I like about the Hondata systems is the built in 2 step, and full throttle shifting abilities. You can also setup a more subtle shift light as opposed to those giant tachs kids have.

thanks everyone for the advice. I picked up a p28 with hondata s200 and all parts for 125. Gonna install my intake manifold and possibly a header before I install and get the ecu tuned. So far only person that I know who can tune are adrenaline and possibly lowe? I'm def not going to adrenaline.

I am also looking forward to using the hondalogger feature.

I will also look into crome possibly If I ever do anything more than a few bolt ons.

Im keeping my p72 oem incase I ever need to use it for anything.

if you know anyone else who can tune a hondata s200 lemme know
