68mm t/b on a nonbuilt d-series is too big, no matter what manifold you use.jdmjerry07;89202 wrote:Im putting a 68mm tb on the skunk 2 intake manifold, not stock if thats what u were thinking.

I don't feel like going into it all over again.

The skunk2 manifold for the sohc motors has a 62mm opening at the throttle body side.... so in order for you to even use that 68mm throttle body, you will need to port match the manifold right off the bat. My advice for you would be to run an H22, 2nd/3rd gen B16, or GSR throttle body (all 60mm) or if you have to go big, a type-R 62mm unit. if you dont have a cam and haven't built the motor at all, you don't need anything larger than that.

I have a gsr throttle body right now but i had to do alot of rigging to get it on there cause the spring were the cable attaches is defferent and its like upside down so i had to put washer and such to keep it tight. Well im working on getting a cam and all that stuff in the future but i think i may just port match until then cause i spent good money on the tb and want to put it to use. So how do i port match it now do u no anyone who can do this for me... ( unless for some reason i can get my gsr throttle body on there without having to rig it )

...you can swap the throttle cable wheel from your stock t/b over to the GSR one :dunno: I have a GSR t/b with a b16 wheel on it... I dont know where you put washers to rig yours up, but I assure you it isn't hard to mount the correct throttle wheel on there.
and please DON'T just portmatch the manifold and use the 68. You will LOSE power using that throttle body on your car. Nothing like spending 'good money' for bad performance. Either sell it and get your money back out of it, or put it on a shelf and save it for when you may be actually ready for it.

yeah, the wheel isn't tough to swap at all, if you have a problem with fitment, please let me know, I think I have a spare wheel around here.
also, s2000 throttle bodies are 62mm, and would bolt up too if you wanted a 62mm and couldn't find an ITR.
