Clutch and Flywheel Break in

Post by UMR Racer »

So I just got my GSR back after not having it for a month and a half and I drove it hard a bit and the clutch started to slip a bit under acceleration. At this point I realized that when they put the motor in my car I had them do a clutch and flywheel and by driving it hard I completely fucked up the break in. I just wanted to know if I'm screwed or if I just take it easy for 500 miles or so it will sort its self out.

Thanks

Sean

No its a brand new Exedy Stage One Clutch and a ACT Streetlite Flywheel. Maybe they got some oil on the fly wheel during instal. It definatly wasn't the tires.

so is the slipping from the smoothness of the new flywheel surface or oil on the wheel.
