new Skunk2 IM, problems.

Alright, I just got a valve job, new Skunk2 IM, a Header and test pipe. We got the engine all back together and we cant get it to run right.

The car idles like a dream! haha sounds great. But when I hit on the throttle it cuts out. Like there is too much air, or not enough fuel. Once in higher rpms, the car sounds great as well and does not cut out. Its pretty weird, we have checked almost everything.

My first Idea was possible intake leak? Or Possibly my fuel pump?

I'm not sure which fuel pump is in this car honestly, think I should just throw a walbro in there? Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

have you made sure your tps and map sensors are plugged in correctly?

if you plug them in backwards, they will not throw a code. but the engine will have a hard time revving up and running correctly.

a vacuum leak will make the car idle higher than its supposed to.

Thanks, that could very well be a possibility. We have not tried that. Car is in Winfield, gonna try it out tonight. Thanks rick.
