d16y8 help. wont crank or start at all

just bought a 99 civic ex, i just put a new battery in it, and checked all the fuses. the car wont even turn over at all..

it clicks, but wont even turn over i even tried hitting the starter too

so starter wont turn? check engine light? does it go out? on solid? fuel pump priming? main relay clicking? main harness ground attached and tight?

id say check for corrosion on the battery terminals, check wires to the starter, also voltage test the starter if possible. do the easy stuff first.

the dude told you the motor locked up on it, i bet the oil was never changed and the damn thing seized from sludge.

just put a brand new oem honda battery in,disconnected and re connected the starter wires, tried putting a 17mm on the crank pulley and it wouldnt even move

but there is always a chance maybe it could have been something simple. so now im on a search for a legit d16y8

Can you put a wrench on the crank and turn it by hand?

i put a 3/8 on there and stood on the darn thing and it wouldnt go any where, plus tried to pop start it and it just fell on its face and locked up
