well the vtec solenoid wouldnt cause it not to rev, actually niether would the iacv, i know this at least on my car i unplug the iacv to set the idle, car still revs. maybe a bad ground, like the one on the t-stat housing, only other things i could think of would be the coil or ignitor.Gunmetal Si;233454 wrote:he is getting the fuel. has vtec noid codes and iacv. wiring sucks. adrenaline............

It's not having the revving problem anymore, just idleing and boggingstolle;233455 wrote:well the vtec solenoid wouldnt cause it not to rev, actually niether would the iacv, i know this at least on my car i unplug the iacv to set the idle, car still revs. maybe a bad ground, like the one on the t-stat housing, only other things i could think of would be the coil or ignitor.

Both would die randomly or randomly decide when they wanted to start.gsrauto98;233422 wrote:What exactly happened with yours?
The last gasps of the dizzy in my 98 Accord were similar to what happened with yours. I left my house and about two blocks distance down it died. Came to a stop, started it again, and after I got it going up to about 10 mph it died and then would not do anything.
I would not say the rev issues can be linked to it, but the dizzy is often the culprit with your symptoms.
(Oh and the other car was a 91 Accord)

i would try finding someone with a iacv and see if they will let you swap it i had the same thing happen to me on a b16 block gsr head. Turned out the ecu was bad but it was the iacv circuit in the ecu which would be the same as iacv not working.
