firewall motor mount? replaced and motor still bangs and rocks

Post by 00tegLS »

i had my fire wall mount replaced and it took them a day and half to do it. they were having problems geting the center bolt to line up.. well they finally got it done and the motor still rocks back in forth and when u get on it and shift from first to second the motor just bangs still. all other mounts were replaced as well. so wtf is going on here??? cant see if they tore the mount puttin it in because of bracket around the mount..what to do now?

Where did you take the car? Sounds like they are complete morons. Have you checked over it? as in bolts are tight and what not. Just get a hasport mount and call it a day.

Lol, spending money on parts isnt going to solve a unknown problem. He clearly needs to find out what the actual problem is, versus spending money to "get a hasport mount and call it a day"

it's the torque mounts most likely they are the main ones that ALWAYS go bad on hondas and even faster on automatics. They are located under the frame rails at the front of the motor on each side of the ebay, they are attached to the brackets that come off the transmission and ac brackets

here is a write up on how to fix them , and just to give you a better idea of what they are and where on the car .. and they are ALL in the same place for integra and civic

Your Honda is just making too much power... shut up and be happy with that "reason" alone.
