tapping the pan before he has his manifold and turbo might turn into a problem with figuring out the oil return line. i had a fitting welded to a spare pan i had before i bought the manifold im going to use. when i was mocking my block/turbo setup, i found out it wont line up at all.JDM EM1;221346 wrote:yeah if ur wanting to go turbo later, don't waste money on intake, header, exhaust (2.5" or less) etc. You'll just be wasting money. Save up on a turbo and just run around on stock b16 b/c as we all know b16 sucks for n/a and make no power without putting TONS of money in to it.
but for now what will benefit you later for turbo that could you actually put on your car now would be getting a walbro 255 high flow fuel pump. You can put this in the car now with no need to tune the car. You can get your oil pressure gauge and actually hook the oil pressure gauge up now, Really about sums up what would be worthy to get now that you could actually put on and be ready for turbo later and won't be out any money on n/a stuff.
Oh yeah and you could get your oil pan tapped now and just throw a block off plug on it, so your ready for that as well.
now search and find good turbo parts for you car untill you have them all =)

sounds like you need to move the turbo around on the manifold so the return hole from turbo is pointed in the proper directrion or find you a different return linev-tecivic;221348 wrote:tapping the pan before he has his manifold and turbo might turn into a problem with figuring out the oil return line. i had a fitting welded to a spare pan i had before i bought the manifold im going to use. when i was mocking my block/turbo setup, i found out it wont line up at all.

It depends on if you're running an A/C or non-A/C compatible manifold and how the manifold is designed (Top mount, log, mini-ram, ram horn, etc.)JDM EM1;221350 wrote:sounds like you need to move the turbo around on the manifold so the return hole from turbo is pointed in the proper directrion or find you a different return line

who?
b16's aren't a waste if you boost them.
mines bone stock with 142,000+ miles on 8psi making 250-270whp. It runs good for what it is. Its fun little street car now.
