15400-pcx-004 made for s2k's-made by filtech in usa
15400-pl2-315 made for ?????-made in japan by???

The first two are compatible in gasket size, but the last one might be for some other s2k's or isuzu's and has a bigger gasket.
The last filter you mentioned is for the older Acura Legends.

the ph3593a is indeed made for a honda.

yea like i already stated i find it funny how everyone started out hating the internals of a fram and now its all about the external and the o-ring now that they realize the internals of their beloved honda filter is the exact same as a fram LOL...you guys are too much!
No, its not made for a Honda just because it fits, has the same internals as the new OEM filters and because Fram says it does. 13B, VQ35DE, and 4 cylinder Hyundai/Kia oil filters all fit on a Honda. Doesn't mean its the right oil filter. The gasket design is brought over from another non-Honda vehicle.

I've always hated on the gasket of the Fram filter since my first post in here so get your facts straight. Don't size me up into the "everyone" term.

/not trying to get into this argument at all.
Its says right on the side of the 88-00 Civic OEM Honda oil filter that its made by Honeywell.

You're right. I was pretty sure that the '95-'97 Accord LX/EX (C27A) used that filter as well but I was wrong.

It doesn't have to be OEM Honda. When did I say that? Why does it matter whats on my car and my motor? If you haven't noticed, the only filter I say you shouldn't use is the one from Fram. Valvoline and STP filters I know for sure are designed correctly. I choose to use the OEM filter from Filtech because of the design and quality.

Prolonged use of Shitty products will cause damage such as:

-engine sludge
-leaks
-deposites
-burning of oil
-etc.

which is why they make sythetic oils for people who drive their cars harder than the average person, because conventional oils break down quicker and can cause problems over time.

so if you want the best performance and protection for your car, you use the best products you can buy.

the goal would be to NOT have your car burned to the ground..

the fram filter issue is real, not some made up bs. we witnessed it first hand with AJ's s2000. yet people (like mindless lemings) keep on saying "that never happened to me, ill be fine"

yeah i know some cats with the HPV who said the same thing....

you should use products with a proven track record. take caare of your car and it will take care of you.

Doesn't always burn them to the ground though, sometimes it just destroys the motor to some extent. I know a few guys who used fram filters on their Machs, and the internals deteriorated and came to pieces on them between oil changes and ruined their motors. A few others have had something similar happen, but it just messed the drivers side head up and had to be replaced, which is still expensive when you're talking about a 4v head that's all aluminum. I use only Motorcraft filters on my car now, making the switch over from Mobil1 just to be safe.

well im back from my snowboard trip!! ive read the last few pages and this is what ive gathered:

mikes in love with some dude named tony palo, i take it hes some fag drag racer? man i bet hes got some talent, must be hard driving in a strait line...
drag racing is gay.

bisimoto used a fram filter on that motor because he had a $10,000 budget and spent $9,999.99 on internals and picked it up at WAL MART while he was getting his Busch beer and cover alls weird i didnt see him as the hick type..

im still going to use honda filters
