ok ok ok..

to all the people who swear by oem honda oil filters (not HAMP) let me ask you one question.....who manufactures oem honda oil filters?
Honeywell

Which also make fram ones.

but the differences are one's cardboard, one's metal. not saying either is lesser or better, just stating facts.

i will get pics from work. i work at Valvoline, so i use.... Valvoline filters lol.

Honeywell...who owns Fram. They make SOME, not all OEM Honda filters. Your point? I've already stated that the Fram filter you get from AutoZone is nowhere near the same filter you get from Honda. So again, whats your point?

you couldnt be anymore WRONG.

first off, here is a question for you. how many oem honda filters are there? (be careful, some are discontinued)

the oem honda 15400-PLM-A02 filter made by allied signal/honeywell/fram is in fact exactly the same internally as your generic fram.

the HAMP filter is made by filtech..who use to make oem honda filters.

the s2000 filter is made by toyo roki.

now all of you praising oem filters and bashing fram filters should take a look at the part number on it the next time you pick one up, because you might have just owned yourself :)

then why do the "fram" branded filters have a junk ass flat o-ring, and the oem "honda" filters have a rounded o-ring that NEVER sticks? why do "fram" filters have grip tape on them? honda filters dont. why are honda filters not as flimsy as the "fram" filter?

LOLz

No, I am definitely right.

To answer your first question, I don't know. I don't work for Honda and only keep up with the oil filters that work best for my car. And why does that matter? You obviously don't know yourself (See paragraph 5).

I won't argue your point about the actual filter and filtration between the Fram filter and OEM Honda filter (A02 PN) being different. My reasoning behind not using Fram is because of the gasket design. Hondas were't meant to have a "flat" gasket on the oil filter. Those gaskets have been known to cause leaks and and stick to the engine block on removal. I refuse to use them based on that fact alone. And since Fram obviously put such little R&D into their off the shelf filter, why would I buy the one they supply for Honda?

S2000 oil filters are made by Filtech, Inc. since we live in North America. Filtech, Inc. is owned by Roki Co., Ltd. who also owns the Toyo Roki Co., Ltd.

Image

And here is the comparison of the quality work that Roki Co., Ltd. puts out compared to the shit that Fram makes. This is yet another reason why no one wants to buy American made anymore.

Image

I praise the Filtech made OEM Honda S2000 filter. You all should too.

And just for you Mike....Own3d.

as i stated, the reason i use OEM filters is due to 1. the durability of the sealing gasket and 2. it seems to hold up better when you have to take off a filter that is over tightened.
