dizzy help

Post by mike »

i have a z6 ob1 p28

for some reason it still has the a6 obd0 dizzy on the car :gay:

i just picked up a z6 dizzy, now do i need to buy the plug and play harness for 30bucks or is this an easy wiring job?

the car idles a little rough and i dont think im getting the MPG i think should be... thus the reason i want to put the right dizzy on the engine.

any help/info would be great

tis easy wireing, if you have the manual for 0d0 and obd1. which would be a chiltons and if ya don't have one don't fret cause you can borrow mine.

i doubt that its an a6 dizzy, do all the bolt holes line up to the head? if they dont its most likely a d15b7 obd1 dizzy, if they do you already have a z6 dizzy. the obd1 and obd0 dizzys are different internally and are not compatible (something with the crank angle sensor i believe) you cant use an obd0 dizzy with a obd1 ecu. if you have a z6 dizzy you want to use it is as simple as depinning the plugs and installing obd0 plugs i have a z6 dizzy thats got ond0 plugs on it i dont remember off hand what wire goes where but i can check and let you know...

yes it was an a6 dizzy...the shop*cough*adrenaline*cough* that did the swap cut off one dizzy arms so that it only used two bolts.

got it on and the car runs A LOT better! :D

It looked like it had an OBD0 dizzy on there if I'm not mistaken. We put on a OBD1-OBD0 conversion harness w/ the OBD1 dizzy and it seemed better, but not 100%.

Ninja Edit: Mike beat me to it.
