Shopping list for auto to manual swap

Post by Edison Carasio »

I'm gonna start looking for parts for an auto to manual swap in my 1991 CRX DX. Here's what I have so far. Did I miss anything?

Shift box and cables and shift linkage from 88-91 Civic 5 speed or CRX 5 speed
Pedal assembly from 88-91 Civic/CRX manual trans
Wiring harness from 88-91 Civic/CRX DX with 5 speed
Clutch cable
88-91 ED 5 speed transmission
ED 5 speed gauge cluster
88-91 Civic/CRX manual trans mounts
Axles
Shift knob and shift boot

changed it for you, to the best of my knowledge.

Shift linkage from 88-91 Civic 5 speed or CRX 5 speed (there are no cables just solid rods)
Pedal assembly from 88-91 Civic/CRX manual trans
Clutch cable
88-91 ED 5 speed transmission
ED 5 speed gauge cluster
88-91 Civic/CRX manual trans mounts
Shift knob and shift boot

shouldnt have to change anything on the wire harness.

lol no, that was a fake out. It's just a stock D15, obd-0 DPFI.

I just remembered, I read that the flywheel bolts are different so I'll need those (along with a new clutch and flywheel while everything is apart.

thats stupid, then you would need a pm5 from a manual dpfi, i have a pm5 from a 91 hatch you can have fo free, you would just have to come get it. yeah didnt think about the clutch, lol, like you said you would need clutch, flywheel, bolts, pilot bearing, throw-out bearing.
