so take the o2 wires going to emanage and reconnect them to the ecu like they were originally.

Disconnecting the emanage in any way will have one of two things happen: Either the car won't start due to engine perameters not being met, or it will start, and the minute I push any boost, the engine will throw codes and then start melting things due to too much air and not enough fuel. In order to get my readiness monitors to turn on, I have to drive at a certain mph steady for a certain amount of time. That means driving on the highway and blowing the engine. Good. Times.

it has to have emanage to run?? wow, how did the dealership ever sell these cars if they didnt have emanage from the factory and wouldnt run.

dont go into boost. without boost the engine is like stock.

maybe im not understanding this emissions stuff. is it like a dyno and they take your car to redline?

Its not even close to a dyno for 96+ cars. They hook up an OBD2 scanner to it, and if it reads ready with no codes you pass.

ok so why is he talking about it blowing up and shit if he reverses some of the emange stuff. drive it over there not going into boost. is it that hard? i thought maybe they put it on something like a dyno and drove it and possibly go into boost. if theyre just hooking a scanner in then youre good to go.

+1 except he will have to drive it long enough to set the readiness monitors.

I don't know the specifics on the E-manage but what your saying is that the E-manage blocks the rear O2 signal and sends the factory ECU a steady voltage like a O2 simulator would? If this is the case then the readiness monitors would run and pass.
If not, and the E-manage blocked any signal from the rear O2's then you would get all kind of codes like, rear O2 not switching, rear O2 heater circuit, and so on and so on. Not just monitors not run. Maybe I'm missing something here but do like Mike said, just keep your foot out of it and you'll be fine.

The first thing they test when they hook it up is to see if all the readiness monitors are on. With the emanage wired in, 2 of the monitors will not come on because they're wired into the emanage and not the ecu. In order for the ecu to see those two monitors, I would have to remove the emanage and rewire the sensors and drive the car on the highway for a certain amount of time at a certain mph. But doing that with no emanage would cause the ecu to exceed its performance perameters and would most likely cause the engine to either sieze up or detonate.

I start getting boost pressure at about 2500rpms, so the car is barely running. When its cold like it is now, its even worse. If I dont let the car warm up completely and then restart it, it will go into safety mode and limit me to 3000rpms. Thats roughly 58mph in 5th. I have no idea how much boost pressure the turbo is pushing since the car was unfinished when i bought it. It currently lacks a boost guage and hasn't been dyno'd yet.

Why are you asking for help when your ignoring everyone in here?

Put stock injectors back in the car, remove eManage, and drive the car (OUT OF BOOST!) until the readiness monitors are reset. If your really that worried about it, pull the cold side charge pipe off and put an intake on and you'll have nothing to worry about. How would you sieze up or detonate the motor? You won't. Besides doing this you will never pass emissions.

Edit: Just read your last post. How do you know your going into boost at 2,500rpms when you don't even have a boost gauge? LOL

It does have a blow off valve which I can hear as low as 2500rpms. I wish I had all the original parts because I would just put them back on and then get the car tested, but I dont. I'm not ignoring everyone, a lot of the questions are going in circles. I just try to answer each post. Its really starting to look like I'll have to take out a loan and get a kpro put in, unless I can find a way to get an emissions waiver from the DMV...
