Alright, I think the plan is changing. Thanks to Rob (SilverStreak) we have found a place to stop and eat lunch about 1/2 way along the cruise. BUT, it is important to get a count of exactly how many people are still planning on attending so that we know if they can fit us or not. So, even if you have already posted that you are coming, I need you to go
HERE and RSVP... it will only take a second, and will help us plan for sure what we are doing. thanks
We will be stopping at a place called Dutzow Deli in Dutzow, MO right outside of Washington, MO. They have a very wide range of great foods to choose from. Chicken strips, burgers, steaks, sandwiches, subs, and the list goes on. And the food is cheap too. For the steak dinner and a drink you won't spend more then $15.00, and thats the most expensive thing on the menu. There are places to eat inside and outside and the inside has cold A/C. There should be plenty of room for parking. The restaurant is right next to a Katy Trail parking lot. It is all gravel and has some dips, but my car is pretty close to tucking 15's and I didn't have a problem getting in or out of the parking lot. The food for me was about a 10 minute wait.
I drove the cruise route once on Saturday and once on Sunday. The road was pretty decent and I didn't have too many issues with bumps. Once on St. Albans Road, there is a 35mph construction zone to watch out for. Do 35mph through the whole town because theres gravel thrown around on the road and there are two huge dips in the road at the bridge entering the town and one leaving the down. And the last thing to mention is to drive safely. Do not pass in a non-passing zone like another member did on a previous cruise, almost causing an accident.
I can't wait for this, its going to be a lot of fun. See you guys there. :vtec228:
