Unfortunately I have friends from back home in town all weekend, so I'm not able to attend. It's EXTREMELY difficult for me to watch, or even work the course. The course is fun b/c I can watch people's lines a bit better, but dammit do I hate chasing cones. I'd rather be running the car.Jacques;50540 wrote:As long as you didn't do anything internally to the engine, and just did bolt-ons (intake, pulleys, etc.), then you'd still be in an ST class. If you modified your throttle body and/or intake manifold, as well as change to an aftermarket clutch and/or flywheel, you'd get bumped to an SP class...where I'm in now with the 'Lude. To go into SM (in your case, SM2) class, it would involve doing all the mods in SP class, plus doing lightweight mods (CF hood, gutting most of the interior, etc.), and doing things like forced-induction (turbo, SC) and internal engine mods. If all you modded to your car was the intake, that alone would move you into an ST class. Stock class rules only allow you to have a air filter (stock intake and resonator must remain the same), front strut bar, exhaust, shocks, and wheel/tires for modifications (ICE mods won't affect class designations).
Are you coming to this Sunday's event?
I'm getting a new beater next month to hold me over until I get the S2000. I'm sure I'll be ass-happy at first running the s2k. hehe The beater I wouldn't mind running, just to see how horribly it handles. lol
