yeah, but those ecus are hard to come by and are usually pretty expensive. a friend of mine had one, didnt know what it was, put it on ebay and was shocked at how much he got out of it lolrickles8099;37774 wrote:just one thing i have to say about wiring the vtec.....
one wire vtec.
you can get a ps9 ecu and use the torque converter lockup signal for vtec or use a pm6 and use the ac relay for vtec.

go buy any low mileage d16, si tranny and put a turbo on it turbo > vtec, vtec is overrated, you will spank just about every n/a b-series swap out there unless you run into one thats built which is rare...big pipe;37730 wrote:REALLY!?!?
if i should do a d16 vtec i will.... if it is easier, i kinda want vtec if its worth it. im torn

Wiring in VTEC seems easier then doing a ZC swap after watching what happened with your fo-do. Running two wires to a $55 controller vs. changing dizzy plugs and wiring in a crank angle sensor. Hmmm...budget_crx;37773 wrote:the d16 vtec is still a harder swap than a zc just because you dont have to wire up the vtec, plus the ZCs are already OBD0 so you wont have to worry about that either. I personally love the ZCs, and have spanked more than a few sohc vtecs with it back when it was stock. Out of experience i would highly recomend the zc, but either way you are getting about the same amount of power. so basically, either one you pick will give you what you want.

like i said, i have the harness that would plug right up,(since its already MPFI) so no extra wiring and it would be for less than $55.SilverStreak;37847 wrote:Wiring in VTEC seems easier then doing a ZC swap after watching what happened with your fo-do. If you have a harness, how come you didn't install it in the fo-do and sell it for more?budget_crx;37857 wrote:like i said, i have the harness that would plug right up,(since its already MPFI) so no extra wiring and it would be for less than $55.

fodo = DPFISilverStreak;37861 wrote:If you have a harness, how come you didn't install it in the fo-do and sell it for more?
harness was for the MPFI 8pin(?) round plug, which the fodo didnt have, otherwise i would have
*edit* i'm talking about the small harness that connects from the stock harness to connect a ZC dizzy and cam sensor on, not the entire harness. after rereading it i realized what you were saying.
