iff its not that big of a deal instal (ive replaced factory engines/trannys etc. ive just never swapped for something different) would i be able to do it all in my driveway? what do you guys think?
im guessing the B would be a lot more work?
and yes im only looking for roughly 150?hp maybe throw a 50 shot on it for the weekends.
in a crx, that should be fast enough to keep me happy

for the zc swap the axles, tranny and everything bolt right up. the only thing you will need to do is wire the cam sensor (i have an extra harness for that too)

b-series swap are plenty manageable, but you have to know how to do basic wiring. even the vtec swaps are easy, I did my own :dunno:big pipe;37699 wrote:iff its not that big of a deal instal (ive replaced factory engines/trannys etc. ive just never swapped for something different) would i be able to do it all in my driveway? what do you guys think?

and 150hp in a crx won't be enough, trust me, you will want more. but remember too, a b18a puts out about the same power as the z6 or zc will, but it weighs 80 more pounds...

i really dont wanna spend 1500 bucks on an engine for a 200 dollar car, what would be most "cost effective"...(aka im broke lol)

if i went with the zc motor im guessing i wouldnt have the future upgradeability of the b series
I DONT WANNA TURBO THE THING i just want a 30 mpg dd that runs a 15 something second quarter mile without a small nx shot, maybe a 14 some thing with it, i used to have a wrx running 13.30 i wouldnt wanna stress this car that hard (its old)
would a swap from a ex civic sohc vtec be better or worse than a zc? ive pretty much decided against a b series (dont be mad B guys)
