why would you need a key to a sunroof? ive never heard of a sunroof that required a key to open it or shut it or for you to remove it.

Take a 12-14v drill battery with you. Should be enough to operate the sunroof a few times.

What accessories do you need if you can power the sunroof motor itself?

You can use a separate source of power (i.e. drill battery) to power the motor(s) you need to.

that or take out the whole sunroof assembly... motor and mount and all.

if you pull down the interior panel around the sunroof, you will see the bolts that hold the whole assembly in the car.

should take a total of 10 minutes to take out a whole sunroof assembly.
