Leaking (ef)hatch >:(

Post by Q10 »

My hatch is holding water and I have an idea how its getting in, but Im not sure. I havent had a chance to actually get back there and see. My preliminary guess is that the redneck I bought it from somehow damaged the hatch. Because when I raise it up past a certain point, it makes a weird pinging sound and makes the same noise when I put it down. Theres a (looks like) sheet metal replica of the stock wing tack welded on...

I dont want to replace the whole hatch if I dont have to. Any ideas on how to go about fixing this?

Do you have a sun roof? Make sure the drain isn't clogged.

Most likey they run throught the A pillars and the C pillars. Drop the headliner and you will see them coming off the corners of the sunroof.
