I am wondering how to take the floor pans apart in a DC teg. I have the back half of a DC and I was thinking about keeping the floor pans just in case someone ever hits me and I need them.
Is there an easy way to remove them or no. I see there is like a glue or sealer but whats under thet? Spot welds?
Any info would be great.
Thanks
Brian

It shows for $720 from acura with each sill metal ($90 each by themselves) for the floor under the seats. The rear floor is listed at right under $600.

Yea there are spot weld. Never seen how many but thats what is under there. The seam sealer is there just to seal it up.

Well, if you want to do it the easy way and leave enough for a body shop if you ever need them, just use a sawzall and cut up higher so you have extra (cut across the quarters above rockers, etc) meat for them to splice wherever they want.

See the thing is I am deff keeping the quarters for a project DC that I plan on getting, as the ones on the back half I have are 100% rust free. Im sure whatever project I get which will be a 94 or 95 will prob have rust.
How do I remove the sealer? Will it scrape off easily or do I need to heat it up or is there another way?
Thanks again for the info.

Heat gun and a putty knife takes it off. If you want to take things apart at the seams, get a spot weld drill bit (looks like tiny hole saw) and drill all the welds. You can then carefully pry the pieces apart.
