i probably would have done the same thing if i was in the cops situation. Gotta keep kids under control somehow. Being without a car makes it hard to keep them in one place, show them you can kick some ass and put them in their place and they'll learn their lesson.

i noticed at least one other officer who was standing around doing nothing. I was actually going to school for criminal justice and if I worked in the same department as this guy I would be ashamed on behalf of the entire department, albeit the kids were f'ing dumb-asses for resisting and running what he did was unnecessary

i might be biased because i know what it is like to be herassed by cops for skateboarding but there was no need to choke a 13 year old let alone a 13 year old girl on go skateboarding day. the other cop with the helmet wanted nothing to do with what that cop was doing he just stood there and shook his head i called the number and they gave me another one to call tomorrow

WOW! this cop got out of hand. he needed to take a second and think what these kids actually did wrong, THEY WERE SKATEBOARDING!!!! if they run, who gives a fuck, let them run, did they hurt anybody? NO did the steal anything? NO i would have ran too for fear of getting the shit choked outta me by that guy. that 260+lb cop was spinning those kids around by their necks like they killed someone, PANICED(sp?) the kids weigh like 70lbs, give me a break, this guy is a bag of douche woho has no business with any authority at all.

Point is you dont run from the cops. These kids were in the wrong and werent about to take the cop seriously so he forced them to take him seriously. The rules apply to everyone, and if you think you can run away from them youve got another thing coming. Maybe he used excessive force, but at the time Im sure he wasnt really thinking about that. It was just to stop the kids from running away. I hope he doesnt get in too much trouble over this and I certainly dont hope the kids dont get treated like victims.

to me, it all boils down to the severity of what these kids actually did, he even treated the ones that were sticking around doing nothing like shit.

I said *may.* No one here knows the whole story since the film started after the cop had someone on the ground. So you don't know how the kids were treating the cop prior to this.

Not everyone did he treat bad, whoever the cameraman was, he didn't throw him around. As far as the other kids that were standing by, yeah, they tried to run, so what the fuck do you expect to happen? The cop was not in the wrong, end of story.

They were old enough to know they were breaking the law. So if a "kid" shoots you, you're just gonna give him a good spaking and then send him on his way? I don't think so. Actions depict level of force required, not age.
