Its a 2007 Corvette ZO6......which does 11.3 bone stock. Its not stock. It has CAI, headers, full exhaust, electronic dumps, and CCW wheels that are 18x9 up front and 19x13 in the back. SO if he can drive it, its an easy 10 second car.

What will he need to do to run up there? Helmet? Cage?
first off, has he ever raced at a track before? if not then he has no worries because he wont be anywhere near that quick. ESPECIALLY with 19" wheels in the back. NO WAY he is going to have ANY traction. period. it will run slow. so tell him to go and dont worry about a thing. just bring a helmet.

no, i have only been kicked off a track once and that was because i had slicks on at a stupid street car test n tune at rogersville (aka ozark dragstrip). i was in full street trim like i am always. yea i run slicks on the street.

MOST tracks will tell you to slow it down and you can continue running and get at least one more quick pass in before they say you cant run anymore until you get whatever you need to have. gateway im sure if you run too quick they will tell you bye bye!
MyfodoSi;118987 wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you need a cage if you're 11.99 or faster.
NO. it USE to be 11.99 before the c6 z06's came out and then have since changed that rule to 11.49 and quicker need a 6 point ROLL BAR. and then from there 8 point and then to 10 point etc. but no one on here needs to worry about that.
02Type-S;118991 wrote:Man that would be dumb, that would mean even if his car was still stock he would still need a cage
no he wouldnt.
rickles8099;119037 wrote:ROLL CAGE
Roll cage required for anything running 10.99 or faster or 135mph or faster.
correct. but from 11.49 and quicker you have to have a 6 point ROLL BAR. meaning main hoop with 2 diagonal bars towards the center to frame and then 2 door bars.....not cage....know the difference. you all are getting confused between roll cage and roll bar.

TECHNICALLY i am required to have a fire jacket, smelly helmet or whatever the fuck, harness, scatter shield, and cage.

i do have a fire jacket and do have a old ass no name helmet and im good to go. fuck em! actually just went to the track last night...

Wait, do they even post 1/4 times at MM?
when i use to go long time ago they didnt have the boards on but you could still get a timeslip which was the fucking gayest thing ive ever heard off. dont know if they still do that or not.

It's still the same way. They don't display the times on the boards, but the time is on the time slip. Ghey.
Ribs. I had ribs for lunch, that's why I'm doing this.

i wouldnt say its 'ghey'. i think its cool that you can see how fast you are and at the same time other racers/spectator dont know. its all about the hustle.

1. Yes he has raced at a track before

2. The 07 Z06 is STOCK with 18s up front and 19s in the rear, they just aren't 13 inches wide in the back. So explain to me how wider, stickier tires with the same diameter as stock means no traction?? He hooks WAY better than stock on the street, I'm sure he will be fine on the track.
