This is a fallacy ... this is not a race, but is an intensive experience in car control skills ... the best way to learn to handle a car is to practice in one that handles like crap

Some rich guy buys an exotic and then proceeds to wreck it ... sound familiar?

Good thinking!

No cord showing on tires and having adequate brake pad and fresher fluid are the key requirements ... hope to see you there!

Good deal. Lay off the drugs awhile and you'll have $200 in no time

Yikes...I'm used to payin' $50. I'd do this, but I'm not sure the route of the CRX just yet. And there's no way I'm running either the Supra or the BMW. Autotragics=fail in courses.

Sorry, doesn't work like the show-up and go drag racing at Gateway

There's generally 1-2 week prior cut-off to get things handled administratively to pair up students with Instructors, determine groupings, make up course packets and etc

How's that work? $200-$250 for one day, $325-$350 for two days seems to be the going rate

Also, "Autotragics=fail in courses" ... translation please?

I was part of an organization that is no longer back home. We got huge discounts and it would be 50 for the weekend.

autotragic=autos....horrible on courses b/c you can't properly shift when needed.

Car budget is tight right now and tax return is going to a full suspention upgrade, but I am going to do my best to be able to make this.

Sounds like some usefull info and skills could be learned at this event.

Being a "righteous guy" I just do want to point out that while I'm announcing this SCCA event, which a one-day track day, other local clubs (Porsche, BMW, etc) also have two day events to consider

It will cost roughly +$100 for a two day event over a one day

If you can afford it definitely worth it as the progress that second day is a big one in terms of progress
