That sucks, wonder how far the suspension damage went. Have to love the sudden freezing cold weather.

I did the exact same thing as you with my EM1 two winters ago and the damage was just over 4k. I hit a curb while sliding on ice at about 15mph, hopped the curb and bumped a tree. Both front wheels and tires, front bumper, left lca, cradle and a few other things. I messed it up real good.

Well still waiting for the quote and insurance adjuster to come out.
The bodyshops are currently swamped.

But they did ask for a list of all aftermarket parts and where they were purchased.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps

Thanks everyone.

Well today I pulled it out of Weber Chevys bodyshop. The wait was just too long. They treated me fine but there was like 15-20 cars infront of me.

So today it was put on a flatbed and moved to one of our other clients bodyshops. It made it onto a rack today however insurance is holding us up with them wanting to send out an adjuster.

Im honestly hoping they total out 2 wheels so I can get new aftermarket wheels. Im also hoping the rear suspension beam took enough hit to warrant a replacement (would be cool to get an FE5 assembly put in) Im not holding my breath on either. But we will see. Trying to look upon this as an opportunity!

lol if they are willing to pay to replace them then Im going to use the cash to buy 4 new wheels. I will smooth these down a bit paint them black and use them for winter wheels.
