Should have just left the B16 in and turbocharged it. You would have made 250+ with a lot less hassle.

Rick, I'd figure you were in favor of turboing a D16.

I'm all in favor of turbo D16's. But when you have a better motor and a low power goal already, why spend the extra effort?

pretty much..

the way i look at it, when staying under 300whp for a goal and you already have a b16, stick with the b.

a stock honda assembled b series running under 300whp is more reliable than an aftermarket d series not assembled by honda running under 300whp and can do the same thing.

yea he obv. was happy and though i was to.it was a older guy 1 owner car with 170xxx onit.clean si.all stock.i i want a motor where its pratical to get parts for if not a whole motor for cheap and at the parts store without havin to order them.i was gonna do a b20 vtec but u gotta drive it so hard an in high rpms all the time to go fast.an parts most of them u gotta order.if the d blows up.2hrs ltr wit a spare motor in for 200-300 tops.ima build the d and its only gonna be a weekend and track car.have a daily so the rex is just a toy.an cheap budget there quick.rick ur rex was fun an fast we raced my buddy a few times that one night.an vtec civic is got that turbo z6.runs good so ima go d-series have had bs for long time an just want somethin cheaper to replace when it breaks.

b16 parts = ANY b series car (civic/integra) from 90-00 .. seriously hard to find parts?

Turbo d making 250-300 is possible but starting with the high reving high flowing b1 would have been cheaper and easier

but if your looking for a assembled motor pm me i have what you need

oh and fyi alot of d16's have gone 14's with very few mods .. so your b16 with the right driver should have went low 14's easy
