i just cant decide should i turbo my 92 accord with its stock f22 motor with 260 thousand miles with a budget turbo, or go all out with the H22A swap and then turbo that? the turbo would be a budget turbo set up with as many used parts as i can get. and the H22a would be ordered from HMO http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc200 ... item=30016
opinions, comments, and advice i'm all ears

you could do a budget dsm setup on you ride for half the price of the H swap, that would probably outperform it! that being said, how much power are you looking to make?
the turbo f with a dsm setup (cheapest route) is good for 250whp tops
the turbo H will only get you to about 300whp before you start to melt the pistons. the sleeves in a stock H bottom end dont allow for the use of forged pistons without a good re-sleeving$$$$$$$$$
i know of a guy making 640whp out of a built H22.
if i were you i would do a compression test to see if your current engine is up to snuff, then find a dsm manifold,16g,fmic,walbro, dsm450s, chipped p06,etc. the plus side to a boosted F is that when you blow your engine, your replacing a $200 motor instead of a $2000 motor, that and the H swap is a lot of work that N/A only puts down about 175whp
if your going to build either engine its gonna be ALOT cheaper building a F bottom end, and the end results are about the same

Rock what you got. I cant keep my damn car on the road as it is, and im on 8lbs, stock bottom end. If you want to build it cheap, thats your own thing. I would save your money and do it right, or youll end up spending more in fixing everything that fucks up.

ill do a compression check for you, and if the current setup isnt up to snuff, either rebuild the motor you have or get another motor to build/rebuild/boost/na/or whatever else you decide to do.
