Lol Kris, its not that, I just realized that you gave me a wood drill bit when I got home, and well I don't think you would have appreciated me bringing that back to you snapped in half or something else, but thank you for at least trying to help me with the bit.

well, I drove a lowered civic as a daily driver for the past 5 years and I drive it all year round with the same tires and wheels, and have had my car stuck in the snow more than once. if i had a tow hook on the front it would have prevented me from removing the front lip because: 1. at certain angles, the tow cable can break the lip if you are hooking up to stock front tow hooks; 2. It's a pain in the ass to try to hook up a low civic when you're stuck in snow. luckily the rear tow hook on my hatch was easily acessible, donno about the coupe though...

I can see the functionality benefit of having the hook, but I think it only applies to lowered/lipped/big FMIC vehicles. I chuckle when I see the huge hooks coming off the back of stock Hondas and feel sorry for whoever is unlucky enough to run into that.

On a side note, luckily for me Subaru knows that its owners plan on getting themselves into the most ridiculous of situations so they equip their cars standard with multiple tow hooks in lots of different spots.
