new life for the hatch...again

Post by DC_T »

i don't even remember what the plans were last time i updated this thread, but what they are now is a simple lsvtec build and some suspension goodies. no more boost. i'm trying to get back to a reliable car thats fun to drive and isn't broke down/being worked on 90% of the time. so, here are some updates:

rs machines pr3s are going in w/ new rings
Image

bunch of random honda parts, brackets, bolts, etc
Image

got the hole cut for the main harness tuck, and ran the wires
Image

converted my fuel line to -6 an so i can run an inline filter and get rid of that bulky oem filter on the fire wall
Image

got an integra rs mc and booster along w/ the 40/40 prop valve. this is the mc before:

bought some of this:

30 min later, i got this as the cleaned up version:

went ahead and sprayed my starter also. distributor and intake manifold also to come
Image

mounted the prop valve and mc/booster
Image
Image

went through color master and picked up some arisol cans to quickly and cheaply give me bay a nice new coat. it actually turned out suprisingly well. i am happy with it, and it looks 100x better than it did.

also switched over to a manual rack. while it was out i decided to go ahead and replace the inner and outer tie rods.

lots more to come. brake upgrade/swap is in the works and the engine will be torn down soon enough for the new pistons.

thanks for looking :)

fixed it, the toilet flushes great now :)

but for car updates, i didn't get a chance to get much done w/ the car since i had random house crap i had to fix (attic fan, dripping faucet..blah blah), but i did get some more parts in this week. just waiting to pick up some integra lcas and i need 2 new lower ball joints pressed in up front. anyways, heres what i got this week:

replacement ball joints for my skunk 2 upper control arms
Image

rod bolts
Image

stainless steel brake lines w/ a black rubber coating
Image

front and rear pads
Image

new shocks
Image

all new bushings
Image

all pictures now taken with an out-of-my-league-way-too-nice-for-my-crappy-picture-taking-skills camera, that my wife went all out on when i asked for a camera for my bday, god love her :wink2:
Image

i'm hoping to drop the pistons and rods off along w/ the front spindles to the machine shop monday to get the ball joints press in and pistons put on the rods. brake swap should be done very soon along w/ the suspension upgrades, then i'm going to tear into the motor. thanks for looking!

F getting ball joints pressed in. I've replaced ball joints in a parking lot. They're not difficult at all.

Looks good Sir. It has come leaps and bounds from the last time I saw it.
