FMIC Install/Fabrication Pics!!

Post by ZenkiS14 »

Not that many of you will care about my nissan, but i wanted to show my friends on here haha

Ok, so we didnt get it finished yet. But we were able to get it driveable. For the time being, i will have to use the stock hot pipe with BOV for the next week or so, until my buddy gets his Argon tank filled, and i have the time to go back to his house...

THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS

So here is how the day went:

Here is what i started with. This is with my stock SMIC that i have been using for almost 2 years now.

This is the garage where it all goes down.

End of day 2.

This is STILL a WORK IN PROGRESS. I need to polish all my piping, sand down some rough spots in the welds, and fab up the whole hot side of my intercooler piping.

So what do you guys think? :rr:

IDK. after my turbo goes on...yes. But the "butt-dyno" showed no real improvements. I havent raced anyone yet though.

Very nice Kyle. I love the front mount and think it doesnt look too bad. But to be picky I would sand down the welds and either powdercoat or paint or polish the piping if you have the time and money. But like I said it looks good thus far and I hope it all works out for you.

the welds wont get filed down. I love the look of the raw fabrication! We spent 20+ hours to get where we are now, and i want to be able to see all the hard work that was put in. I love that style.

i will be doing some serious polishing on the upper pipes though!!! this week itll look nicer!

great work, my only gripe is, why not order some pre-bent pipes and cut them to the angles you want, they cost a little bit more, but it would have saved TONS of time and argon. that is a shit ton of welds. props on gettin it done.
