the neptune rtp costs 450. for dave to tune it it was 300. The car was on the dyno for about 2 hours/ 10ish pulls. The place that we dynoed at only charged me 90. Overall it was well worth it. If you ever need a retune dave only charges 200+ whatever dyno time is needed.

only 164 from a gsr...:msnthink: im guessing its a non jdm tight engine..JVolsch;5442 wrote:The dyno went really well. It took awhile to get the computer setup, as he recieved the rtp boards 10 minutes before I got there. I'm the first rtp install he has done. I'm uploading a video of my car on the dyno, and I'll try to post the sheets tomorrow. The car ended up at 164 hp and 124 tq. Not bad at all. Dave said that it was acctually really good, for what it was. He also said that he was amazed that it kept pulling all the way to redline.

Is it me or was Dave cheaper when he came here to tune cars? I thought Dave was charging $500 for him to tune the car WITH the neptune... but you also got the new top of the line Neptune I guess...
But I think he charged some guys $500 for neptune with the tune and then dyno time was also charged as well...
We need to get a group of us down here again that want him to tune as well possibly.

The motor was already in the car
. It's a basic bolt-on motor, so it's kind of hard to make 180+. He use to have tuning included, with getting the neptune setup. The newest boards (rtp) are priced out at 450 themselves. With his 300 tuning charge stuff starts to add up quickly. I essentially did the dyno tune because the car was running extremely rich and falling on its face. The tune solved all of these issues, and it was basically to help the driveability of the car out.......not to get crazy numbers (which wouldn't be possible, on a basically stock/ bolton motor) Overall my hp and torque curves are now very good. When we started there was a huge huge dip in the tq and hp, starting at about 3500 rpms and going up to 5500ish.

When mine was tuned it was initaly $500 for neptune(first time) + dyno , and then $200 for a retune plus dyno time.

Yup, that's the pricing for the old neptune. The new one costs $450 for the board/ etc and $300 for Dave to tune it. On top of that there is also the dyno time. He still has the old neptune stuff. I just opted for the newest/ etc.andyjt;6046 wrote:When mine was tuned it was initaly $500 for neptune(first time) + dyno , and then $200 for a retune plus dyno time.
