Finally ready to dyno

Post by JVolsch »

Finally got to my parent's (in wisconsin) at about 9pm tonight. I started in on the car at about 10pm.
List of things I did:
Full tune up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, oil change)
Installed new AEM 3 inch intake/ velocity stack on the end.
Installed new Kteller custom test pipe

Over all the mods include the new stuff+ profab header, skunk2 intake mani (hondadata gasket), ported throttle body, RSR exmag exhaust, etc That's the basic jist of it anyways. Mook dynoed the car without the header/ new intake setup, and old exhaust. The car made 144hp/ 133tq.

The car has been falling on its face and seems to be running extremely rich. I have an appointment at noon, at the Whip Factory. Suprdave is going to be tuning the car on the new Neptune RTP setup. Anyways, I'll keep everyone updated on the progress/ how it goes.

The dyno went really well. It took awhile to get the computer setup, as he recieved the rtp boards 10 minutes before I got there. I'm the first rtp install he has done. I'm uploading a video of my car on the dyno, and I'll try to post the sheets tomorrow. The car ended up at 164 hp and 124 tq. Not bad at all. Dave said that it was acctually really good, for what it was. He also said that he was amazed that it kept pulling all the way to redline.

The whistle is still really prevelent. Even more so than before. Otherwise everything is going well. The alarm is kind of touchy, and keeps going off showing something has hit the window. I'll probably call you about that part though.
