What car to pursue?another one of my polls

Personally, I'd stick to getting a vette if that's what you really wanted, because I've heard the visibility of the Camaro sucks worse then the Vette does; plus it's a heavy pig. Granted now, the LS3 is a better engine than the LS1 since it's newer and things like that, but keep in mind that mods for it are going to be more expensive because of that.
yeah im not worried about mods just reliability pretty much. I only really plan to do just exhaust if needed. haha if i get your vette i wont need to do anything but a catback system.
I've been looking at some convertible c5's as well, I just wanna make sure I get something fun and reliable as well. Granted if i keep the cobalt, it will be my DD. anytime I make long trips or bad weather i'd drive the balt.

I've thought about C6's but I wasn't able to find many in the area with low enough miles for less than 28k, bc im leaning more towards getting a second car versus only having one. The C5's are very much more affordable as well, i've been looking at them quite a bit,6spd and automatics. The Camaro's arent too bad, but i do agree they are much heavier. Idk why I even listed the ss as trading in my balt for it bc going from having a decent gas mileage car dd to a v8dd is just hard to do, especially with the way prices have been going up. I'm more towards the C5 and keep my cobalt or the v6 camaro and keeping my cobalt. I've always liked chevy's and there just doesnt seem like many other cars out there that i'd be interested in having as "baller" status lol.

In the end it comes down to what you prefer of course. I wouldn't get rid of the Cobalt if you don't have to, especially if you get a Vette. I love driving mine, but after having driven it daily (rain, shine, light snow), I'm glad I have a true DD now.

lol what wont happen?

Depending whats out there when I start looking depends on what I'll probably get. Hopefully I wont have to go too far to get it either. I visit family in central illinois so I can always check up there too. Yeah I know for sure I'll need a DD with the vette bc of the winters n such, plus if its raining/snowing I dont wanna take my pretty car out for idiots to hit and slide into.

They do well in the rain and light snow if you're smart about how you drive it. I went cross country last March in mine in the rain round trip and had no problems at all, even managed 28mpg cruising between 70-80mph the whole way. Granted, that was before the gear change and headers, but I doubt it effected the highway mileage much.

The thing you have to watch out with the Vette is standing water or slush on the road.

my cobalt is the same way, i've hydroplaned in a 2 inch puddle near work, I would love to get yours bc of it already having everything I would do to it, just gotta hope you still got it when I'm able to and possibly down a little more on price. I'm gonna get an extended warranty thru my bank when i get one.

It's not going anywhere fast, no offers on it yet. It's just a bad time of year to sell a sports car though. I was talking more about standing water because of the way the air intake on the cars are. When spring rolls around again and there's a cruise again that I can make, you're more than welcome to ride along with me if you want man.

I definitely will take you up on that offer. Do you have a facebook at all? well arent the air intakes slightly below the hood? yeah it is a bad time of year to try and sell it, but I planned on gettin something closer to my bday anyways. haha gives me an excuse plus i'll have over 6 months on the new job.
my cobalt hydroplanes in puddles bc its lower and has very little room between fender well and tires now.
