All new C7 Vette...Hmmmmm

Lincoln did this with their LS it was a 3.9lt v8 and to be honest it is peppy and suprised the hell out of me. So imagian it turboed and you got a winner in my book

I don't think it would sell well in the states.

Your average corvette driver wants/is use to, a v-8.

I think its interesting they are throwing around the idea, but I deff like that they say they will offer other engine choices for the usual Vette owners.

I'm sorry I should have specified. It will be hard to make something more impressive than the z06 that the "normal" car enthusiast can afford. Or don't have to be stupid rich at least because even the z06's are not cheap, but much cheaper than the zr1.

They had something like that already that didn't sell very well, the Pontiac Solstice GXP and the Saturn Sky Redline.

Again, I wouldn't hold my breath on that happening. They've confirmed a new 5.5L v8 but not this smaller turbo motor, that's all just speculation.

Prolly due to the fact that they look horrible.

The coupes can look damn nice!

And heres in car video of that car racing against vipers vettes etc...

Now as far as the c7 bs goes I will believe when I see it. I think either way has potential. But the issue for the Vette is that its customer base is getting older. Sure some kids buy a vette here and there. But far more young people buy other cars like R8s or Lambos etc etc etc

i worked at a chevy dealership when we got our very first solstice in, it was a coupe one, and i fell in love with how it handled.. nice photos and vids rich

Never said it was a good looking car, just that they'd tried that route already and didn't have much luck with it. Of the two though, the Redline looks much better than the GXP, IMHO anyway.
