Do you get pulled over for not having a front plate?

On the civic yes one time I did and since its a daily I dont mind putting it on, although it would look a lot better without.

On the accord, I have been ticketed for it and/ or warned maybe 2 or 3 times. I will not put a front plate on that car. I removed the bracket and trimmed the tabs off for it on the backside of the bumper.

Do all/most of you guys live in St. Charles or in that area by any chance? I've been pulled over a couple of times and this has never been brought up. Seems like cops in St. Charles area look for this type of thing.

St. Peters/ St. Charles is who seems to get me in my accord, Maryland Heights got me on the civic.

ok so i got a ticket for it friday in my Si and almost got into a fight with the officer i asked him a simple question and he flipped the fuck out. all i asked him was why when my dad just renewed his plates on his little toyota tacoma that the license place only gave him one plate i repeat one plate he is like wtf give me my other plate and the lady said and i quote "we are phasing out using two plates in MO" he is like what am i suppose to do when i get pulled over for not providing two plates? she said you will not anymore?? so when i bring this up to the cop he said thats impossible and the only way he did that is if he spent extra for a 9000 lbs plate i proceded to laugh and said what are you high 9000 lbs plate on a tacoma? he didnt find that too funny and gave me a ticket. so what i dont get is if there not going to give us paltes yet still give us tickets what are we suppose to do. so i am going to call the license beurou today and ask them what proof if any and what exactly the hell is going on.

I get pulled over like once a month. I use the same excuse everytime. "I'm waiting for the bolts to come into autozone, since its a import.

Also, the military id usually helps.

I haven't had a front plate on my car for about 7 years and been pulled over numerous times for it. I think I have maybe gotten 3 or 4 tickets for it. The last time I got pulled over was about a year ago in Maryland Heights(mostly where I got pulled over for it) and I explained to him the bracket issue for the plate hasn't come in, which he was fine with. Then I ended up talking to him for a good hour on random things. Ever since then I have not had any police officer pull me over for it.

seems like everybody gets it either way, i may leave it off and see how it goes. i may get too paranoid and end up putting it back on. definitely not going on like it was though.

I havent had one for about 5 months and havent had any problems. I have the bracket and plate sitting in my passenger side floor board so if I get pulled over ill just tell them that a bolt came out and was just hanging off and that im on my way to put it back on

may work, may not.

now that i have the front plate off, i guess cause im thinking about it im seeing a lot of cars and trucks without front plates. at least one small truck and 3 cars.
