Starting out. Didn't pay attention to lean burn (and it never engaged since I was not running the gas pedal correctly)

After 80 miles of driving, I figured out that these cars don't go into lean burn themselves; you have to let them know they can do it. So from about 86 miles to what the trip odometer reads now, I got the car to go into lean burn. On light hills, I was maintaining 75-85 mpg. On flats, I was getting 100-115 mpg. On downhills, it obviously was getting 150+ mpg...

Friend called yesterday to see if I could pick up a starter for his boat and bring it to him. Pretty hilly roads and lots of people driving 15-20 under the speed limit. This was keeping me from staying in lean burn the whole time but I did as well as I could...

True test will be in 2 weeks I'll take the car to Nebraska. Once I get to Sedalia, roads are pretty smooth and flat. I'm really hoping to get well over 75 mpg on the trip. We'll see.
