In my opinion, you don't really need a "diet" in the sense people are used to them, just need to expend more calories a day than you take in. For most of the population who just want to lose a little fat and feel/look a little better, it's as easy as that. Don't really know you're eating habits but simple things to start like not drinking sugary sodas, juice, white bread, candy and cakes and booze will be great. A simple 30 minute session of activity 3-4 times a week with that will probably get you what you want.

the spike diet i really liked... eat clean all week... then one day a week to SPIKE your diet.... by eating like a fat slob one day per week.
Really though... losing weight/fat is as simple as calories in versus calories out.... you need to consume less calories a day than your body needs to maintain weight.

It's devoid of any real nutrition. Just empty calories and carbs with no redeeming quality nutrionally.Waffles;296239 wrote:Whats wrong with white bread
I would recommend skipping the Powerade. Gatorade and Powerade are sugary beverages that unless you are really an athlete in the middle of a hard game and expending thousands of calories a day, I don't really see a need for it. Powerade clocks in at about 28g of sugar per 12 fl oz if I recall.
just simple things like that in your life will help you lose body fat.

The best cardio workout IMO is intervals. Its pretty brutal but an amazing cardio workout. Eat lots of lean/high protein foods such as fish, chicken, veggies etc. Stay away from high sugar and carbs and like me, don't "drink" your calories. Its calories you can easily avoid. Stay away from diet drinks. They contain Aspartame, which makes you gain/hold weight. You need 20-30 minute cardio sessions daily (walk, jog, swim, bike, etc) and portion your meals. When you eat, leave alittle food on your plate after each meal so you don't get that "full" feeling. Eat 6 small meals a day because that keeps your metabolism high. By eating 6 small meals a day your body wont go into "starvation mode" that means if you starve yourself and barely eat anything, when you do eat, your body will store unwanted fats because it knows its not getting the amount of nutrients it needs. When you don't get enough nutrients you body will do whatever it takes to get what it needs and can start eating away muscle. I've been into bodybuilding for several years and can hopefully help anyone with any questions.
Like Edison said about the power drinks, avoid them as a "enjoyable beverage" as they do have a lot of sugars. They are made for high intensity activities that take alot out of your body and refuel the electrolytes your body needs for whatever activity you're doing such as marathons or basketball etc. Drinking them while loafing on the couch will do no good for you. I usually drink them at the gym when I'm sweating my balls off and need something more than just water

Hey man, there's a bunch of great ideas on here. Edison and Levis both give solid answers. But really it is as easy as taking the time and energy to eat healthy and work out a bit. Right after high-school I lost 50 pounds in 2 months, I stopped drinking soda, cut out almost all sugars. I still ate a TON but I only ate vegetables, chicken, turkey, all that. And I ran, a ton. Now you can do that, but I was in a mood and that's not really what everybody wants to do. Like Levi said, I would suggest interval workouts. Check out the 300 workouts on youtube. I'll try and post a few links, and 12 minute fitness has some really great circuit workouts that will kick your ass in a short amount of time. combine that with some healthy eating? You'll be dropping weight in no time.
