Florida plates here in Missouri, anyone know why?

Surely I am not the only one who has noticed this. For over a year now I have been seeing tons and tons of cars with Florida license plates here. It seems everytime I go out I see at least a couple. Have other people been noticing this? and anyone know the reason for it?

Would be easier to do Illinois.

But honestly, they are rental cars. The Airport has about 5 rental car places with license plates from all over the country. I bet if you look, each of those cars have a little bar code sticker on one of the passenger windows.

Its like the same with U-haul. Where the end of the trip is, the u-haul or in this case cars stays in that area until it leaves and goes somewhere else. Or stays in the same area for a good period of time.
