So way back when I was 21...I was engaged and and had a baby on the way (Sara). One thing lead to another in the relationship and after a lot of problems we broke up. I was still in the picture until Sara was about age 3 and that's when her mom moved and left me no info! I tried getting anything from her family but got shot down. I heard she got married and the search became even more difficult with not knowing her last name. Even with being her father ...the legal ways got me a birth certificate but I could not get a social because of some of the dumbest laws! I hired a PI and after a year and a lot of money I either was scammed or he was just a really bad PI taking advantage of a young desperate father. After awhile life shot by...I met my wife, bought a house, spent 6 years trying to have a baby (that"s where Josi came in the picture), and the normal life ordeals.
Flash forward to 2 weeks ago. I got a voicemail from my Uncle saying he had met My daughters aunt and given her my number. 2 hours later I get a call and it's her! We talked for about 2 hours and I answered a lot of questions since she had been told nothing about me all her life. 2 days later I'm at my 18 year old daughters graduation! Now I feel old!!! lol It was also interesting sitting next to my ex and her being somewhat nice to me, my wife and my 2 year old daughter Josi.
It's been 2 weeks and she has been over for dinner at least half that time and integrating herself into our family with ease (might be because of getting my talk to anyone personality lol).
