Show some love for KDHX

Post by Edison Carasio »

Who else around here loves KDHX? I can't think of another station I listen to as much. My favorite shows are:

Deep Krate Radio with DJ D-EX and DJ Iceman. Old school hip hop, new school hip-hop and none the garbage you hear on 104.1. TRUE hip hop of all types.

Juxtoposition with with Rob Levy playing British pop and electro etc. Good shit.

Beep Beep Boop Boop with Kate playing awesome electronica and trip hop. HOT.

Greasers Lunch Box with Al Swacker playing awesome rockabilly.

Rawthentic with DJ Needles spinning Hip hop and soul, best DJ in STL maybe.

AND

Music From the Hills with John Uhlemann I think. Plays traditional music from Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and even Middle Eastern, Greek, Israeli etc Cool stuff if you have worldy tastes.

Those are just off the top of my head. I know there's some good indie music played in the early AM on a few days a week

Anyone love KDHX? I try to attend as many benefit events for them as I can. My biggest disappointment is that they don't have the Super Fun Happy Hour playing sick punk and hardcore on Monday nights.

"In the spring you will bloom like your heart through the glass in the back of the ambulance. You turn and you turn and you turn down the street, one more turn, won't you come back to me? And as it turns, the red lights, they were turning into red roses, red roses. Red roses. I'm not giving up." - Steps Ascending by Thursday

It's surprising how far away from STL you can pick up the signal. I was deep into Illinois, about 50 miles from STL and was able to get it in my Fit still.

KDHX is the best station in STL. Outside of the WAR and T&J show, it's really the only radio station that I listen to.
